Wooden Camera Unified DSLR Cage (Medium)

Description

Unified DSLR Cage (Medium) is a quick release, height adjustable cage that fits medium size DSLR cameras like Canon 5Dmk3, 5Dmk2, 7D, 6D, and Nikon D300, D600, D750. The open shoe mount area allows for hot shoe accessories to be installed without obstruction. The minimalist design gives you mounting points on the top and side while leaving all of the camera's vital controls on the right grip and left side easily viewable and accessible.

The cage includes a reversible top handle which can be repositioned over the lens area when an XLR adapter is in use. Built into the handle is a cold shoe mount and a 15mm tube clamp for mounting any of our UVF Mount kits used with 3rd party electronic viewfinders. The handle can also fold down when packing your bag and can even be reconfigured onto the left, vertical 15mm rod for a secondary grip!

Cameras with fold-out LCD screens can be positioned easily and an included HDMI cable clamp can be mounted to the vertical rod to secure video cables and prevent port damage.

The bottom portion of the cage includes a Manfrotto quick release dovetail which can attach to a variety of Manfrotto tripod heads. Quick release functionality works the same as existing Manfrotto plates. Simply turn the thumbscrew and depress the release pin to slide the plate backward out of the base.

A built lens adapter support system is integrated into the base which is great for attaching to adapters with a 1/4"-20 on the bottom like our E-Mount To PL Mount Pro (1/4-20 Support Foot), MFT To PL Mount Pro (1/4-20 Support Foot), and also many Metabones products.

If lightweight 15mm support is desired, the cage may be combined with our Unified DSLR 15mm Baseplate to provide pass through rod support (sold separately).
