The 72mm Revolution Magnetic Anti-Laser Filter from Kase features a specialized coating that reduces laser energy from passing through a lens, helping to protect a camera’s delicate image sensor from potential damage. This protective layer is ideal for shooting in environments where lasers are present, such as concerts, stage shows, and parties.

Common laser pointers typically have an output of 1 to 5 milliwatts, while stage laser lights can exceed 10 watts, and architectural laser lighting may reach up to 40 watts. Exposure to laser light can damage an image sensor or its coating, often resulting in red, purple, or blue spots. In severe cases, vertical or horizontal streaks may appear.

Beyond its laser protection, this filter also functions as a light pollution filter, reducing image discoloration caused by ambient artificial light sources.

Crafted from shockproof, multi-coated optical glass, the filter is water- and oil-resistant, ensuring durability in harsh environments and inclement weather while remaining easy to clean. The aluminum frame attaches instantly to the magnetic adapter ring, allowing for quick installation and removal. Up to four filters can be stacked on the adapter ring, and its slim design makes it well-suited for use with wide-angle lenses.
